HOW TO FIND US
The beautiful and traditional village of Pyrgos is built at the highest point of the island. At the village’s entrance, in a magnificent location, you will find the homonym Pyrgos Restaurant, which offers breathtaking view of the Caldera. The village of Pyrgos is situated only 8 km from Fira. If you take a walk around the village you will see Kasteli, the medieval castle, which once was the medieval fortress of the island. The castle stands in the middle of the village, since people, after the end of pirate invasions, started to build their houses outside the castle walls. During your stay it is worth visiting the monastery of Prophet Elia and Theotokaki, the church of Virgin Mary, the most ancient medieval construction in the island.
